DNA Maternity Test Results

The results of a DNA maternity test will reveal whether or not the tested alleged mother is the biological mother of the child.

A maternity test has two possible results, each of which is indicated by a Probability of Maternity value listed on the result report.

• A Probability of Maternity of 99% or higher means the alleged mother is not excluded as the biological mother of the child. DNA Diagnostics Centre routinely achieves probabilities well above 99.99% on maternity tests.
• A Probability of Maternity of 0% means the alleged mother is excluded as the biological mother of the child. In plain English, she is not the mother.

Your maternity test results will be ready approximately 5-7 business days after we receive all the required DNA samples in our laboratory. We can send your results by mail or fax; or, if you are taking a private maternity test, we can send your results by email.
