A twin zygosity test only requires the participation of two individuals: the twins. Neither of the twins’ parents needs to submit a DNA sample for testing.
Our laboratory will compare the DNA profiles of the twins to determine whether they are identical or fraternal twins. The profiles of identical twins will be the same, while the profiles of fraternal twins will be different.
