Paternity Leave

- If you were not working continuously for the same employer during the 26 week period prior to the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth.
- If you were not working for the same employer during the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth.
- If you did not continue working for the same employer up until the actual date of birth.
- You do not earn above the Lower Earnings Limit.
- You will not have responsibility for bringing up the child
- You are not taking the leave to care for the child or support the mother
- You are not the biological father, the mother's partner or married to the mother.
